The VSB provides for a contribution to the costs of mobility aids for people with reduced mobility. This concerns the following mobility aids:

  • Walking aids

You come along with the completed Medical Prescription and choose the desired walking aid. The walking aid can be supplied after approval by the Zorgkas.

  • Standard wheelchairs

You come along with the completed Medical Prescription and choose the desired wheelchair. The provider listens to your needs, takes measurements and requests the desired wheelchair from the Zorgkas. If we receive approval, the wheelchair will be delivered. For children, too, the Medical Prescription, completed by the doctor, is sufficient to request a standard wheelchair.

  • Modular wheelchairs

You come along with the completed Medical Prescription and choose the desired wheelchair. The provider listens to your needs, takes measurements and requests the desired wheelchair from the Zorgkas. If we receive approval, the modular wheelchair will be delivered.

  • Anti-Decubitus Cushions

No separate requirement is required for the first application. An anti-decubitus cushion must be stated on the Medical Prescription or the Wheelchair Advice Report, depending on the chosen wheelchair. If the pillow is renewed, a Medical Prescription filled in by the doctor is sufficient.

  • Frames (for seat shells)

You come along with the completed wheelchair advice report and choose the desired chassis. The provider listens to your needs and requests the desired chassis from the Zorgkas. If we receive approval, the new (or already existing) seat shell is mounted and the frame is delivered with the seat shell.

The wheelchair part and the recovery budgets of the VAPH have been transferred to the Zorgkas. In concrete terms, this means that it is possible under certain conditions to request a second wheelchair from the Zorgkas. The Zorgkas also intervenes in the repair and maintenance of the mobility device.
